today i swapped out that cover on the 100 and swiched alternators under the flywheel to no avail its still a bad alt so anyone got a few 4 amp direct dc output alts for a biggs vert let me know and alos i took the deck off and drove it to the shed to get more working room again man do those ags ever change the ride in a mower lol didnt really notice it on the R but the 100 is very noticeable i also found the float valve leaks by on the 100 too so i put in a fuel shut off on it then i stored some stuff cleaned up the shop a bit and started painting the blue on the barn quilt then i started work on the home made press this thing is impressive lol but u all will see that as we go i got the base frame put together for now i got some casters to put under it until i get the addition built onto the shop then it will get permenantly mounted in the corner lol but as for now its good to just roll it around as i build and work on it and now the pics just two today

Its sunday my slack day but i did get some more done for those of u who have been following along for a long while if u remember the hydraulic cart well i drug it back out today and finished fab on it up and swapped the 3/4 hp to a1.5 hp engine now it produces about 1500 psi and i got the set up on the press done i think the quick couplers are what slows it down on the return but oh well its a little slow on the return but ill live with that i guess and tomorrow im starting on the logsplitter modifications lol so that should be a task and now onto the pics oh yeah i played with the press some i squished a 1/2 inch board then a 1/8 inch steel plate then a piece of 1/2 bar stock i used a 3/4 inch socket as my pusher lol now with the pics

today wasnt too bad lol! so this mornigs goal was to hook up to the logsplitter and drag it to the drive for its overhaul well in order to do that i had to get the R out and swap blades on it so i could put the weights on the front end to pull the splitter without the wheelies but that also required fabbing new blade stops to lock the blade up and take the weight off the steering colum cuse no way its gonna hold 250 pounds so i got that all fabed up and the weights on threw the 2 inch ball in the receiver hitch and backed up to the logsplitter well first is first flat tire so air it up quick and drop the tounge down of the 2 inch ball doh it is a 1 7/8 trailer so back to the shed insert new receiver and way i go or so i thought made it 2 feet and down the R goes burries its self in mud well while im gettting stuck my cousin calls me and says hes coming over i say good i need ur truck 5 min later hes here hook up the R and out she comes just needed a little bit of help man the yard is soft in spots lol! so i get it to the drive way and first thing is first swap out the tires for another set i have well the rims are differnt bolt patterns so thats 4 tires i have to break off by hand and reinstall two so away i go well after about 2 hours i get the first two done man those tires have been on there for the past 15 years so i dont blame them i did bugger up the rims i needed so when the old man got home i said we needed one more tube one tire already had one so we go get one come home and get to work on the tires well ive been trying to get two mower off craigs list for 75 bucks and he calls says hell take the 75 so away we go for those the one the red one i hope i can turn around and sell for like 200 or 250 it may require my 11 hp briggs in it but oh well the other the murry is pretty much scrap the both need a bath though and now we get home park the trailer and finish the tires on the logsplitter up kindof a busy day but not too bad and now the pics

Looks like that log splitter is coming along nicely. The old murray we had was not a real heavy tractor, but it did a beautiful job on the grass. The thing would turn on a dime too. Id say if that thing is in ok condition mechanically, I would throw some paint on it and sell it off. Ive always liked the candy apple red they put on the murrays. lol!

Nate, I like that splitter setup. With the wedge fixed it makes the unit self cleaning.I like your setup alot better than the ones you buy.
I've been running a Huskee splitter since 9am, just quit for the day. Alot of the wood was Sweet Gum.

Man that's one of the worst wood I've split.
