It's also not common knowledge to mister or missus average consumer that craftsmans are MTD... heck, I'd say most don't know that MTD, yard machine, huskee, et al are the same. If they did, I think kmart would sell a heck of a lot of riders and lowes and sears would be struggling with them. Marketing is what it's all about... build a brand and people buy it... if the brand is no longer what it used to be because it was bought out matters not, if the consumer doesn't know it. All this goes beyond mowers, of course... look at Chevy-GMC-Cadilac, Ford-Mercury-Lincoln... each with the same line of cars as the sister company but branded higher-end and marketed for a premium price.

I understand what your saying buddy,A craftsman just doesn't have a very good name around here is all.I can get them for about nothing but the sad part is they sell about the same to lol.

today i fixed a 210 needed a motor mount and a little bit of tuning to it nothing major

oh bought a 112 today really rough missing enigien and one rear fender and rear hitch plate but what can u expecto for 50 bucks and i did some tinkering with the crapsman deck to level it out a bit wow gonna take more time than i expected was getting frustrated with it so i walked away for a bit and now my pics

as for today i put a 5hp briggs where a 2hp briggs used to be on a little tiller

and i had to put a drive enguagement cable on a jd selfpropelled and i picked up an mtd mower with a bent crank shaft i might merge two mowers and make one out of them we shall see idk yet i still have hopes for the one but the pile of stuff out side seems to be getting smaller had a guy come look at the crapsman today he said he would be back in an hour and a half with his trailer and guess what no show so poo on him it will get relisted here friday at noon it will sell i know it lol

umm not a clue all i know is it aint right lol

today wasnt very productive i cleaned up the shop and scrapped out a two engines and oh my step mom picked this up for me at a garge sale for one dollar lol


ITS my one nate powered lawn mower

im thinking of painting it yeller and green green frame and handles paint the reel yeller and the rear roller yeller and the hub caps of the wheels yeller and mount it on a pole in the yard

instead of putting it on a pole, y not cut the grass with it?

so guys yet another sucessful sell was conducted courtesey of motomessenger JWCVA emailed me today he had four push mower for sale i told him sure ill take em for 40 bucks what can it hurt well so far one is sold already and that was the big wheeled mower jwcva the bottom seal leaks a bit but she seems to run good put gas in it that was it oh i did sharpen the blade and changed the oil for the guy that boutgh it and that silver craftsman needs a carb cleaned on it so it should go good too with a little bit of love

so JWCVA i hope u made a little and i made a little so far its lookin good

oh and i drained the oil ect on my cousins big mow well at least the water out of the motor lol
it was a mess had to swap the engine oil twice to get most of the water out of it the mower sat outside all winter and even the carb filled full of water enought that when it froze it warped the carb float bowl on it man what a mess it was but its going good now

and i tinkered wit a 8hp rer ace/mtd got it running and moving today needs some electricle set up and a tube in a tire but heck i got 20 bucks into it so far im thinking about getting it going and listign it for 100 bucks it really is a hunk of junk lol

yeah man the only prob wit it was the bottom seal leaks could be a tweaked crankshaft but for 20 bucks i told the kid about it and said watch the oil level

so guys today was rather productive got a cub cadet in and serviced and fixed it the previous owners on it smashed the front pretty good and ripped one of the deck hangers off the deck so some welding and some hammerin and she looks good to go now guy wants 450 bucks for it so if anyone is interested it runs good and mows good had to tune the carb a bit it aint quite perfect yet but she is close what else oh yea got a truck load of stuff for 120 bucks got two riders a white with a 14.5 briggs ohv thats good yet and a dynamark thats totall crap and three push mowers that are all junk but one is really cool lookin and got a detatcher and areator out of the deal too so i got a bunch of scrap one cool push mower and a good engine for the business and the areator and dethatcher are for myself
also picked up a mtd that i have to hardwire for a guy and replace the coil it looks like

oh yeah just to talk up the cub a bit its a 14.5 ohv horizontal motor shaft driven hydrostatic electic pto on the front side of the mower for the deck is not the std tiny hydros in most its actually serviceable with a dipstick in the rear end is really a good machine its a AGS series like i said its all been serviced and blades sharpened the fron tires will need to be replaced soon and the deck output shoot is cracked a bit and she has a few dents other than that looks and feels to be a pretty solid machine like i said the guy and i agreed that i sell it for 450 so thats a decent deal if u want a mower to use

nate that odd mower is very rare so please dont scrap it i would be very upset

too bad yall are so far away id offer it up for sale as is has compression and it aint stuck

hmm today a couple brought me a junky white push mower said it wouldnt start pulled the air filter put some gas in the carb fired off then kept it runnign on the spray bottle and she fixed hereself float musta been stuck on it fromt he winter and vibrated loose my guess said its running for 5 bucks they were happy and i rewired and put a new coil on a rider for a guy for 30 bucks and i sold my LB 7226 today

Sounds like you did good Nate but anywhere else gets a min charge I know you like being a nice guy but if its a business I would at least do a 20 dollar minimum. You are worth it they can't fix it or else they wouldn't be coming to you.

yeah but just like kw i feel for 20 bucks it should be worth their money i mean come on i fixed it in about 5 min so a dollar a min thats 60 an hour i feel that tag was fair as for the rider its one of my parents friends or someone they know or something like that so 30 for a used coil and rewire its not a real nice job on the re wire but for 30 bucks what u expect it works just fine though

That little green mower? That looks to be an old Clinton engine. I had one when I was a kid, a loooooong time ago, in the 60's. It was old, even then.
