NATES LOG Chapter 3

yep yep has the dual circuit alt in it and ac head lights kinda nice uint had to put the 15 from the splitter in it cuse the slope of the hood and width woulndt take the 16 hp lol but its actually a nice unit just wish someone wouldnt have of cut the deck flap on it

well guys decent day today but really crappy weather cold and rainy calling for snow and 30 degree temps tomorrow and monday but i did sell the green ranch king for 400 and the craftsman selfpropelled for 50 so yeah me lol

and i did pick up one repair severly neglected mower its had the snot run our of it looks like lol but we shall see how it does says it wont stay running idk has some patched wires in it going to hard wire it and bypass everythin and oh yeah did i mention its a green ranch king except this one has the wider hood and the flares on the coulum to accept the 16.5 hp ohv briggs htats in it lol single lunger of course so sould be about 40 or 50 bucks when i get done with it will be good to go again and oh yeah a guy from another town has yet antoerh rach king he wants me to fix for him its green tooo well i aint working on the high dollar green stuff but they are green and im making green so its all good in the neighbor hood

didnt do a darn thing today watched the race my man jeff won

oh boy oh boy getting a JD 100 today and a mtd mower for 250 bucks the 100 is complete has 1 engine cover for sure lol cant see the other side but im bettin on it being on yet lol yeah me will have eonugh parts for the 100 and the 60 to get them both going and mowing

Thats awesome nate got to have those covers for the 100.

KW, Nate showed me the craigslist of the 100 he is getting and it looks fair to good condition, the covers make it great though.

I'd post the ad but I bet Nate didn't post it since he hasn't retreived the 100 yet.

hey did i ever mention that nate is my friggin HERO

so got there and this is what i came home with for 300 bucks

the jd 100 hood is crappy idk about the engine an unmolested deck but the side panels are nice still wrong seat and no steering wheel

the lawn gen is an mtd/ murrey thing lol has a 17 hp tec looks like a good flip mower i have a hood and grille for it lol

the agrifab lawn sweeper works is complete and is 38 inches wide

the mtd 20 inch mower idk about it lol

the LB idk about it lol

and a rope tackle block lol

today wasnt too bad i did get something acomplished so yeah it was ok well sat or sun i brought in that Ranch king for repair and service the lady said it would run but not stay running and that some of the wireing needed to be fixed so i got all the wireing fixed and thought that was the problem well i was wrong it would crank and start and then die out so i figured carb took carb off cleaned it was spotless any way and then reinstalled and same thing so i said well the valves have to be out of ajustment then and yep they were cuse the push rod on the intake was broken i did have a push rod on hand stuck it in ajusted the valves and wala presto running mower i also put a filter in it changed the oil and sharpened the blades cleaned the spark plug and sharpend the blade and it got washed real good even the bottom of the deck did its pretty clean now pretty cheap cuse im oly charging the lady 65 dollars and thats including pick up and drop off JD in town is 50 dollars for that service alone and for the serivicing at TSC it would have cost her 75 dollars so she best not complain lol she got off real light and now the pics and oh yeah i got that lawn sweeper to gether and the lb and the other mower are free so high hopes there will list the lawn sweeper for 50 bucks let me know if thats too low

how about the price on the lawn sweaper ken 50 too much or too litlle saw a brand new one today on sale for 248 bucks but was a 42 inch ??????????????????????????????????????

umm don't know nate I should have looked closer before I posted the first one on the sweeper,it's pretty small compared to some i'm used to seeing.Wouldn't hurt to hold a bit and try for $50 but you might knock ii down a bit if it doesn't sell.If it was a parker you'd get $50-$75 real easy even a craftsman but the agrifabs are little cheaper made.

I have a Ranch King sweeper just like that one nate. Does that drive off one wheel or both?

yeah kw i agree its kinda cheaply made but i bet ill get 50 for it lol if i have it a while no big deal lol

and john it drives off of both wheels but ratchets when turning but it still drives the brushes


oh todays progress i got that mtd push mower all cleaned up and serviced ill post it for 25 bucks lol aint much of a mower but for 25 bucks what u expect lol then got on the lb it fires but wont run got to consult an lb god lol and the lawn general looks a little funney but its washed up and has a hood at least lol little bit of fabrication involved doesnt look too bad tomorrow ill paint it and service the mower then we will list it for 300 and see what happens man there was a ton of grass on that thing as for the 100 i took the side panels off and gave it a power washing too other than that that was the day not too bad i think some decent progress though

today was decently productive lol besides for my oops todya see other thread in gen section lol

but i did get the LB going runs good and sharpend the blade on it other than that not much else to do to it lol and i messed with that lawn general some more got the oil changed and painted the hood also took a pic of my home made adaptor brackets looks decent if u ask me lol paint job aint a great job has runs and crap in it lol but heck at least its not red courtesey of 3 dollars of spraypaint lol i did have 2 guys stop in about the mower still got that red ranch king ill find a buyer yet wa other than that just answering the phone and listing on craigs and oh yeah the 100 fires and doesnt knock lol need the carb and gas tank cleaned on it though so got some pics and to VIDIOS links at the end for ya
