picked up me 2 3410's

well I bought these off of craigslist. 200.00 bucks so i brought them home and really was not to far to drive to get them. the one runs good and strong and rearend seems ok with no slipping in it . motor just has a tapping sound to it but not the sound a rod would make so i dont know . the guy i got it from said the motor was rebuilt just a few years ago and has made that sound ever since . now can anyone tell me if that is a origanl blade since i have never seen one as in the bracket that the lift arm hooks to . And for the parts mower most of it is there other than the motor

Hey thats cool you have the twin for it . But the one in the pic has a 10hp briggs with a 3 speed and i already have a 3410 with a 712 hood on till repainting the hood with a 16hp briggs shuttle shift and the donor is a 3410 with a hydrostat in it all is needs is a motor and just a few odd parts which i can find out in my shop

Yeah I only have 3 simplicity tractors left..the 4040 that needs to be done the yeoman and the 3410

well I know the painting and fixing up is just a timely matter and all . But I hope your 4040 is not in the same boat as my 720 it is a sitting duck since i need to put the honda 24 hp in it my 20hp onan in it now smokes like a freight train and what i have been told by people around here it would be better off buying a new motor . they said not worth the money to put in those motors. so once i do that I guess i can a ebay listing on parting that motor out then

I have a ccka in the garage waiting to go in but there is a long list. As you can see in the picture I already did one 4040 but sold it....
