Subject: heaviest 6hp to 10hp GT for stock pulling Wed 30 Sep 2009, 3:13 pm
The local GT pulling club is promoting garden tractor pulling with machines that are as stock as possible.
What would be the heaviest 6HP to 10HP tractor?
I'm not spending big money to win (6hp or 8hp stock classes) - first prize is a goofy trophy.
I won first place with my 6HP moto-mower - the only one in the 6HP and under class. My son competes in a kids 10hp and under class and the moto-mower is too light.
Just want to know what to watch for this winter.
Thanks.

Well, I would have to say that a good value would be a Springfield / Toro like I have, some even have a super low first gear, and kohlers. I little more meat than a Motomower, but not much, I know I would never question one of these beasts in a pull.
What do the rest of you guys think??

I figured cub cadet, but those can get kinda pricey and he doesn't want to spend a ton of money it sounds.

Cub's are heavy and tough. The parts are also gold plated.
