PostSubject: Garden tractor pulling - looking for an alternative to a pulling sled   Mon 28 Mar 2011, 10:23 am

Any experience using a stone boat (horse pulling) for garden tractor pulling?
Does it work for fun and show? Or is it a dud?

I don't have the time/money/materials to put together a proper pulling sled.
But there is a stone boat available for the heavy horse draw.

Thanks.

Around here the stock only garden tractor pullers use a stone boat setup. It works well IF they can get enough volunteers to add the weight. Mostly they use 5 gallon buckets filled with sand that the volunteers place on the sled at certain intervals.
