| Ok Larry i had trouble wit your diagram. So my parts motor that im gettin the fly wheel off of is gettin takin apart 1st so i know how the other motor is put together. Any info on an 8 HP briggs takin it apart of puttin it back together will be appreciated. | |

| put a prybar or big screwdriver under the flywheel and pry while hitting the shaft with a ball peen hammer. A good sharp tap should do it, but be careful not to damage the threads if you need them. This usually gets em off. | |

| The idea is to give a bit of outward pressure on the flywheel, when you give it a good smack.....If the threads come right to the end of the crankshaft, I leave the nut on when hitting it, enough to cover the threads......Saves the threads. | |
