| I found another GT. A Sears Custom 7. No motor and missing a front wheel. I think this is going to be a great project. I really like the round fenders and hi-lo gearing. If you know this model, the gear shift is loose. It is able to swivel around. However, the transmission appears to shift easily. | |

| Gonna keep it original or drop a little diesel in there? Sheet metal looks great on it. Well, keep us updated with the photos as the restoration takes place! | |

| The plate is in readable condition - except the chart for the speeds. Model # is 917-25440. A quick search online, it looks like a 1968/9.
All of what's there looks really solid. The little bit of rust is only on the surface.
Anyone know the specs for the motor? I'm guessing it was a 7HP Tecumseh. Thanks. | |

| even at 7horse they are pretty stout units. wish i had a custom, someday. plows and the such are a bit harder to come by then the suburbans. but the 3 points will interchange. good find | |

| A bit too quiet around here lately. Figure I'll mention little progress I've made recently. I've added a 7hp snowblower motor to the tractor. A friend gave me a parts tractor - needed the bracket under the motor. Using the gas tank as is - only small leak is near the top. Skipped the starter/generator - going to be a pull-start for now. Sorry I didn't get the picture before I took it apart - but I was using a 2x6 to mount the motor at the right height. | |

| Those Sear tractors are TOUGH. They don't die! You are lucky to have one. I think that will be the next hot tractor. | |
