| This past weekend on my way back from Evan's I met up with a guy that was selling some Springfield components to me cheap, I mean dirt cheap. He had a 4 speed transaxle, a front axle, a steering wheel, a dash tower, and a drive shaft for a Toro like the one Evan sold me earlier this year. So for $40 I bought all of those parts to revive my 1961 Springfield that I parted out due to being worn out. So far the story is good, cause all I am missing is a couple odds and ends, and the engine. However, here in a week or so I will have a 7 hp kohler that I am buying from Brendan to mount to this contraption. I am confused as to what to call it so it may get a goofy name for a while. I think FrankenFeild might work for a while, it is pretty much the same basic principles of construction. | |

| I think thats the first time I got to see the '61 all together! Oh, btw, take an updated pic of the Toro! I think that was the day I bought it when it was still a dirty mess! | |

| Alright, I made some discoveries today.... none of them encourage the success of the project with plans A though C.....
The driveshaft mount is supposed to be welded to the chassis, which the new one is... the frame was just hacked out... I cant have bolts under the engine for mounting it so that's an issue...
Looks as though the right angle drive boxes Dad has are huge... so that might be a problem...
Hydraulic system wont work, not enough room between tranny and tire for a hydraulic motor...
I am working on plan C and I have low hopes for it currently.....
I am discouraged now.... | |

| Recentley at the Wapokenta, OH swap meet I seen 3 or 4 of those Springfields & one Toro GT too. One guy bought all the Springfields, an old Massey that looked like the Moto Mowers, & a Panzer. Neat tractors. | |
