| Ok guys I was out mowing my yard and my kohler decided to throw the balance gear the top one put a hole through my block> I had a buddy patch it up. And do I need the top gear or will I hurt anything | |

OH ya I forgot to say that it did not hurt any other parts just that gear and the block but got the block fixed> So do I just put that pin back in the block to plug that hole that holds the gear the gear ended up in 3 peices | |

| Throw both balance gears away it will run fine without them.. | |

| Ok thanks i was thinking the same. But I never had A kohler apart yet till now. and that was some weird gears half of it was big and the othe end small . do i jsut put the pins back in the holes then??? | |

| | Subject: I dont know that . But I was told now it wont hurt with out in there . I dont know much About the motor part yet but want to learn how to rebuild them . all I know that gear is1 1/2 thick on one half and a little more than a 3/8 on the other half . Tue 04 Aug 2009, 4:27 pm | |
