Well I have done it again,First it was a pink tractor and now this. I had a MTD all wheel steer that was a great little 42in cut 14hp vanguard briggs. I used it to trim and do yard work for 5 years and outside of service I only replaced 1 bad bering in the power divider. My only complaint was I would like a hydro. Sitting in the corner of my shop was a lawnboy push mower that waas givin to me by a friend that was moving. I spoted a ad in a local paper, the peopel were down sizing and wanted to trade a rider for a push mower. So a phone call later there was a year old mtd hydro 46 in cut 14hp brigs sitting in the shop! Basicly the same unit with the exception of the drive and steering even the same frame. Well I decided to swap the engine and sheet metal. hmmm sounds so easy !!! Bolt on bolt offf!! Ha Ha Ha Ha! No it took a total re enginiearing of the sterring, the fuel tank asembly and I had to manufacture a custom drive pully. Now its up and running but wow I should have just left it alone lol!
