| Hi Guys, I found an old Moto Mower but don't know exactly what I have. It came with a B&S 143302 motor. Could you tell me what model, year, etc it is? Also, it looks as if its hard to find parts for this machine, what would it cost (approx) to find the hood, fenders, belt guards, etc? Thanks, for your help, George http://www.flickr.com/photos/56644506@N02/5231776942/in/photostream/ | |

| Welcome to the forum. Definitely another Moto-mower. If they are still readable, there are 3 sets of numbers on the shroud - MODEL TYPE CODE. The code should decode to YYMMDDn. Looking closely - yours had the full-width body between the seat and steering wheel. I can see mounting bars. One vertical under the steering wheel holding a throttle lever and one pointing to the left just in front of the seat. I agree that body parts are going to be hard to find. Here's a link with parts listings for a couple different models. I'm guessing the 6008 is a closer match. http://www.motomow.com/motomowerpartsbook.htmlHope you don't mind - I linked directly to the picture: | |

| Thanks for the info guys. I just went down to look at the code on the Briggs and found it's "pre-code", it has a serial number instead. The type is 502855 and the serial number is 170655. I'll do a search, but if someone can date the engine, I'd appreciate the info. George | |

| I found the following site: http://www.asecc.com/data/briggs/data4.htmlI have a late 60s Bolens 650 with what I believe is the original 6HP Briggs: - model: 142301 - type: 502075 - code: 292066 Would this be a series 14 motor? If so, I can't make sense of the numbers. | |

| I found the same site (and a whole bunch more), but nothing would give any specific details. The only info I could find in its between a 5.75 and 6 hp motor built between 1959 and 1963 or 1965 depending on which site you believe. The info has to be out there but I can't seem to find it. | |
