I had a set of larger tractor chains given to me.....I want to cut them down and make a set for my 12 in wheels....Question is, how long to make the cross chains?...How far down on the sidewall do I come?

Yeah....I was looking at that this morning while posting........ I went out and hacked 'em up .......The originals were 25" wide, so I was able to cut the cross chains in half, rejoin them and have 2x as many cross chains. shortened them up a bit and there ya go.......not bad for a mornings work.

This is what I red necked together for chains. The bolts actually work. Had a budy come over with his 8N ford and tried to clean out the drive. After Cub Kong pulled him out I pushed the snow he couldnt. LOLOLOLOL!Tire chains Tracto10
