| Okay was gone all weekend, but last week I asked in the General Section if anyone wanted to see some of the pics I took at the Kruse Tractor Show & some of the pics I took at the museums I went to in Auburn, IN after the show.
Just so were on track there are 4 auto museums in Auburn, IN...nice ones too. The National Automotive& Truck Museum...NATMUS for short...great Museum next door to the A,C,D Museum with all kinds of differants cars, trucks, & toys.....AAA+ The Auburn, Cord, Dusenburg Museum..."it's a big one & didn't have time the day of the show to check it out" The WW2 Victory Museum...this museum has a huge collection of the types of vehicles used during WW2 by all sides.."unfortunatley like the tractor show the lighting played hell with my camera & 320 some pics were a waste" Also the Kruse Auto Museum...lots of customs, former race cars, & some movie props.
So follow along if you like pics....Thanks, Roller...

| Okay I started at the Auburn indoor tractor show held at the Kruse auction buildings. Case was the featured tractor this year & also the several vintage L7G equipment of all makes. Several of my pics didn't turn out well because of the lighting inside or people walking infront of the camera. But here are some of the better ones I though are interesting. Case T 90...factory built Case transport...very rare & extremely cool. Wheel Horse D 200 & Lenox dozer behind it with WH D sheetmetal....both of these spent time at my stable at one time before moveing on. Early Wheel Horse RJ34 converted into a mini roller...yeah I thought it was cool!...but probably use a more common Horse. Big bad Bolens articulated 4X4 beast. Small crawler...didn't get the name or vintage...did warrant a picture though. Stay tuned...more to come | |

| Early walk behind tractor with a front mounted disc?..never seen one mounted on front & the whole setup was probably less than a foot wide with a neat cast iron rear wheel to boot. Early Case GT...okay could be if you had a big enough garden? My father is about 5'2" just to give you an idea of the size of this early Case gas tractor. A few nicely decked out Ingersolls on display from a dealer in MI....I was told the one in the background is wearing a prototype loader. Thats the extent of useable pics from the tractor show. As you can see by the Ingersoll pic...it seems that if someone or something was moveing when I shot a pic it really screwed with the focusing. It's to bad too...I had taken some pics of MF, Simplicity, JD, More big Case's & other Wheel Horses that didn't turn out.

| How about some pics from the National Automotive & Truck Museum. Sweet looking military prototype Jeep...I've allways been a fan of the early flat fender jeeps & love to find an unmolested CJ2A or CJ3A. A big old snowblower from the 19"teens" with a huge engine & took two men to operate it. The business end of a Hemi Challenger...can you imagine being behind the wheel of this car all lit up! One of the bad ones from Buick...GSX I think?

KW the shows every March as far as I know & this is the second time the show has hosted VGTCA "Vintage Garden Tractor Club of America"....so you don't see all the cool old GT's every year. The little roller was just to cool to me, being thats my occupation...if I get the call back this year. But serious I think a Lawn Ranger would have been a better canidate. I have the owners name...he lives just west in Nappanee & hope to stop in & see some of his other stuff. The same guy owns the yellow dozer too.

Thanks Larry...wish I could of made it back to the show for more pics. The Case T-90 I have pictured belongs to Steve Guirder in OH...he also had his unique Case 190 forklift in the backgrouond there. I'm thinking there were 2 or 3 T-90's there...but the one I have pictured is the one that turned out good. Back when I was 19 or 20ish I had a pair of 3A's...one stock & the other had a Ford 302 V8 with a lift. Back then I was more interested in chaseing parties & girls....I had the two Jeeps sitting at my parents & while I was away on one of my long weekends they had them hauled to the dump since both were needing some things & had been sitting for a while. Still hopeing to find an all stock one to play with & restore.

| Last of the pics I have to share from the NATMUS museum...then onto some from the Kruse Museum. Late 50ies Studebaker truck. An old, old Mack with a hand cranked dump box. A collection of 50ies era PanAmerican rally cars. From what I understand this race started in southern Mexico & ended in the states! This is the only pic that turned out okay for me from the WW2 Victory Museum. It's a 40ies vintage Harley Davidson cross motor. These were used in the desert warfare in Africa where the V twin configuration would overheat & H/D built this to cool better in the hot climates. | |

| Now some pics from the Kruse Museum....start with some of the Customs...then the movie props & end with some vintage racers. They have several customs built by the same individual....I'll have to dig for the name & edit it in later. Check out the paint work & the side by side dual blowers! Another dual blower setup stacked ontop of one another. I'm sure one is just for looks. It works though...looks wicked! ] How about this wild T bucket with a pinball machine theme. Some kind of wild looking van thing with a forward driver location & big engines in back. Looks like a Hot Wheels car all grown up! This is actually a tricked out electric car the guy made. I wonder if he does mowers? | |
