| Ok guys, This past weekend right before Evan arrived at my local tractor show an older gentleman asked me how much a 1977 Case 444 was worth. I asked if he was selling one and he said he was and asked if he could get $1000 for it. I told him I would look at it and let him know, and I can guarantee he will get $1000 for it. Engine was rebuilt in 2003, the tractor rebuilt this past Spring including various new seals. The tractor was went through and repainted correct colors. The decals are original. The rear tires are about 3-5 years old and filled with antifreeze. The tractor has a holding valve on it and comes with a 46 inch mower deck and a 54 inch blade. The reason for sale is his son was using it and gave it back recently, the seller doesn't have a need for the Case. Now for some pictures, we will start with one.

| Also, I know the seat and steering wheel are wrong, it was what he could come up with when the originals died. | |

| Looks pretty nice, it will make a nice addition to your collection. That exhaust setup is a little different than any I've ever seen before, but it looks like it works good! | |

| Well, it was rainy this morning, however I did get the Case 444 loaded and home safely, and it is now parked next to my 222, for now. The 222 may be going up for sale locally soon, mabey next couple months. | |

| Thanks Larry. I went to a tractor show up at Evan's today and bought a new steering wheel for the 444 for $15. Looks to be correct or 90% the same. | |

| Quick update: The steering wheel I bought is the same brand and style but has a different hub setup. My Case 222 will be sticking around for a while longer to possibly take over the chore of mowing since our regular LT is dying. My thoughts for the mismatched front tires is to buy new tri ribs this fall. Seat will remain the same until Spring since I don't really have to replace the seat yet, at least not until it bugs the hell out of me. The headlights will be switched with the new glass headlights I just installed in the 222 recently. A sleeve hitch is in the works. | |

| The muffler is not stock. It should exit out the starter side of engine. Big bucks for a new one. | |

| You didn't mention that KW, but it looks good still. My 444 and my 222 need some whipping into shape this fall, they both have some issues that need fixed. As for the exhaust setup on the 444, I believe it to be the best setup on a Case ever, debating redoing the 222 the same way, cause a previous owner set up up to cook your right foot.... | |

- It really is a nice machine buzz, can't remember if I told you or not but I had to repo the case I bought for the girl I told you about she wouldn't pay for it so I had to go get it.She used it half the summer to cut her grass (3 acres) said she didn't want it anymore, ripped the back fender about off it and warped the deck, she had the guts to ask for all of the money she paid down geez man you help people out and thats how it ends up I said not gonna happen!.I got it back home will put it back in shape just may keep it,it is a sweet running case,,,KW
I didn't realize you had to take that back KW. Too bad it had to work out that way. Sure looks like a nice tractor. Wish I could find one like that around here some day, but there just don't seem to be too many Case's right in the vicinity, at least not one's for sale lol. I had to travel about 1.5 hrs to get mine. Anyways, that one looks to be about a '75 or '76 I'm guessing. Oh, how did she manage to warp the deck? | |
