my wizard 990

My wizard 990 is my newest hobby. right now I am focusing on functionality but I will take pics as I progress.

yea get some pics on here so we can make comments on it

So whats wrong with it functionality wise?

The only one I have right now i the one in my avatar.

I will take pics when I get the body parts back on it, I got impatient and just brush painted it so dont expect anything remotely close to kens stuff. I was in a hurry and needed it to mow.
It looks like a true farm implement now. I would not want to be the one to ever have to sand this paint to change color. My main reason for painting it was to stop any rusting.

Looks good to me....I am a brush paintin' guy too....After all, I just end up scratching them up.

if I wanted to sell to make money I would have been more pickey, but this was just an adde boost to help it work longer.

Johnny thats funny cause after seeing your Avatar that thought occured to me..

However its actually a safety yellow two compound paint that I got from work.
The CAT color is more of a caution yellow. or to make you happy a cub cadet yellow.
Besides I seen somewhere, someone did that to a craftsman.

I got a model like that buzz,it's still in it's craftsman state tho,kohler command engine runs really nice,hydrostat drive no mower deck,I use it to pull a trailer or whatever else I need it to do.I got it for $75 and the guy throws in a truck tool box and a nice running old compressor,sold the compressor for $50 still got the tool box and good deal for sure heck man even the battery was new in it,have done nothing to it but run it. Mine is the smaller model tho it looks like you have the 5 lug wheel model.KW

I think caseys is an older one like the one I had. Casey, is yours a 18 HP horizontal briggs or is it the 18 - 20 HP kohler? It is horizontal correct? I think KWs is the vertical.

Ohmar...I just realized who you are on that other forum......LOL...the avatar gave you away.

I know where there is an old MTD, at least I think it is still there......I went and saw it just after Xmas and I dont think it sold...he wanted $150 for it....It is smaller than your 990, has an 8hp B&S, I believe.........hasn't run in a while, but is stored indoors........I may call and offer $100.....good idea?

well as long as the motor aint blown or seized id give 100 for it.

It is a 1988 Craftsman Gt18 with a high/low rear end and has an 18 hp horizontal shaft opposed Briggs engine.

Yea KW, I put a rigged "trailer hitch" on it for jocking my 6x10 trailer around when empty. Worked great first few times, but aluminum angle doesn't hold up long before it bends over and away the trailer went.

Also, I have dragged 3 dead tractors and a couple cart loads of implements with it, not bad for a little under $300, anyone have tubes for 23x10.50-12 tires? I have no air in those dryrotted lugs!!

Yeah ponch I know you from there and Pauls tractor page. I dont even remember what my user name is on pauls, I should just stick to one username. Thgats why I asked you just how many tractor forums you belong to. I see a lot of familiar names whn I am out jumping around. Small world when you have the same interests huh.

I remember the discussion about the guy triyng to pawn this off as a deere.

Actually casey there is one of those (non CAT of course) plus a almost complete spare down here by St. Louis for $100, if I had the money it would be in my barn. If nothing else as engines for my White 998
