Well, since I struck out with fixing the Case today, I decided to pull the plow off the Toro and take her for a drive. Got the steering box greased today too. Next on the list is an oil change, both in the engine and tranny, as well as a battery and some new wiring, and also a bath. Notice the new muffler is on now too. The old one was rusted on pretty good, but I was finally able to get it off. Here's a couple pics without the plow. I also have like a 4 minute driving video...if anyone is interested in seeing it I will upload it to Youtube.

No, thats a Bolens blower. I don't know why Bolens painted them yellow originally. Its for sale if you know anyone that is looking for one lol. It fits all tube frame tractors as far as I know. I just want to get rid of it. I prefer a snow blade.

KW,
This thing is suppose to have a black vinyl seat cushion that attaches to the fiberglass seat pan. I suppose it probably had a piece of foam underneath the cushion to make it more comfortable. That is one thing that is on my list of to-do's for this tractor as well. One of Buzz's Springfield's has this type of seat pan and it still has the original seat cushion on it. This tractor is weird to drive as it has no running boards (just foot pegs), and it sits so low to the ground. When I climbed back on the Bolens to put it away, I felt like was sitting up so much higher.

thats the way both my motomowers are evan just foot pegs, not real bad I guess just for taking them for a ride but would not like the setup if I had to cut grass and work them.

Here is the link to my driving video. Nothing to exciting, just a good old fashioned ride on the tractor. I had this thing in high gear for almost the whole video and run it at almost full throttle (notice how it rattles like crazy at lower engine speeds.) This tractor has a 4 speed gearbox...kinda reminds me of some of the old JD's that had plate that you lifted to shift into low, this one is setup the same way, except there is nothing to lift up to block low gear off. Notice how it rattles like crazy at lower engine speeds.

Thanks for the comments guys. Well the property is not mine, it is my parents, but it is very nice being completely surrounded by trees. I figured since I was out exercising the Toro, I might as well kill two birds with one stone and check the mail too lol.
Oh Larry, I've got a source for the Case Old Abe emblems:
They look pretty nice. I'm told they only made 1 size so these should fit, but I haven't verified that for sure yet.

Well, I decided to work on the Toro somemore today. First things first, off came the chains and the weight on top of the transaxle. Then I decided to see what I could do with the deck. I've got some pics here of what it looks like mounted up. Its not currently working yet as the main drive belt is not on, and I also found out that it is missing the lift link, which I'm hoping buzz will help me out there getting the measurements to make a new one!
And speaking of losing chains, the Bolens lost its chains and snowblower today. I forgot how easy this thing steers without that blower!

Per our discussion buzz, here are the pics of the top of the deck:

I have a measurement for the lifting strap on the deck: 4.5 inches from center of one hole to the center of the other, and there are two straps (one per side of the lift hookups).
Also, I took a rough measurement, and I mean rough, of the belt off of the mower deck I have like yours: 73 inches around, give or take a few inches.

I know these dimensions may be confusing so we can clarify in the Chatbox tonight.
Also, If I am later than 7pm getting to the Chatbox it is because I have the throttle cable/lever out of my Case and am trying to get another one in, so check back every 15 minutes til I show up if it is past 7pm.
