My son talked a fellow out of a mini-bike, which I'm helping him get going.
(No idea what brand but a lot more brutish than a pocket bike)
The motor runs but won't idle. Just seems to starve. For that I'm guessing the low-speed passage on the carb is plugged. Turning the low-speed jet doesn't change anything.
My question - how much in/out play should there be on the output shaft. If I push and pull the shaft, I'm seeing about 1/8" of movement. It's not the clutch moving on the shaft - I can see the flywheel moving in the starter shroud.
I checked a couple of Tecumsehs - there's some but a lot less.
