| I wrecked my truck yesterday. I had both my brothers with me and their both fine. I was comin up on a curve on a sloppy dirt road and she slid strait off the road over an enbankment and into the tree. I THINK its mostly body damage, so hopefully its not totaled. Ill put some pics up of the wreckage later. Im gonna need for sure a new grille, bumper, hood, drivers side fender, and drivers side headlight assy. It wasnt leaking anything luckily, so i think the rad is fine. Hopefully i can rebuild her better than before. I got alot of hours and alot of money into her already, and i hate to see an old ford die when she still has lots of life left in her. I probly could have drove it home after they pulled it out............... | |

| Dads at the place where it got towed. He cant get it to start now. Do these trucks have one of those shutoffs that are supposed to kill fuel flow when you wreck? It was still runnin after the wreck. I shut it off. | |

| well at least no one was hurt trucks can be fixed or replaced. to be honest it is pretty easy to replace the whole nose the nose can be replaced in about 1/4 the time it takes to replace a fender. it don't look as though it was a hard hit so hopefully there is no frame or suspension damage.. scour CL or local scrap yards for a complete nose or a parts truck usually you can buy a truck with a blown engine or trans cheaper than the parts.. | |

| Bummer! I don't imagine the frame is tweaked, it was built Ford Tough after all! Hind sight is always 20/20 but I bet if you would have stood on the throttle instead of the brake, it would have power slid around that curve. I speak from experience, I've done the same thing you did, except a utility pole stopped me. | |

| If you havent got it to start yet make sure the glow plugs are getting power. Also make sure you didnt cause a fuel line to start leaking and lose prime. If ya got fuel and the plugs are heating it should start.
You could have hit hard enough to knock a relay or a fuse loose. I hit a deer years ago in a yota and the coil wire popped out of the cap. |

| FINALLY seein a lil progress. Got the rad put in, and no leaks. That was fun to do by myself lol. Swapped out hoods, even more fun than the rad lol. Changed out 2 dead glow plugs and she fired up in about 3 seconds at 32*f. | |

| Jeep trucks are rare, and I needed a truck, Yota fit the bill. You should get a Yota, they can be a little pricey at times, but well worth the extra cash IMO. | |

| Sticking pedal is the last thing I have to worry about. Knew when I bought the stupid thing that the engine had some problems. Long story short, I'm getting ready to pull the engine. I really could use a bunper like that on the ole ford though. Maybe on both ends would be good. |
